Kapeng Tanim Ni Juan

Keeping in mind that the project is an advocacy project supporting local farmers, I immediately avoided any thought of using age old nationalistic design elements such as the navy blue, red, and yellow flag color scheme; trying so hard to squeeze in any form of The Philippine archipelago; and farmers handing out their ani (produce). There’s nothing wrong with it since it is the country’s identity after all, but I wanted to focus more on the farmers and the craft they have mastered, rather than emphasizing their country or ethnicity.  Which in this case has been pointed out clearly with the common usage of the name ‘Juan’ denoting as a Filipino for the local market.
